There are atually a lot of fun stress relief activities for groups to enjoy!
Getting together with friends or family can be a great way to take your mind off troubling issues for awhile and recharge those internal batteries.
Most people experience some level of stress in their lives. Trying to deal with it alone can sometimes be a difficult task. What works one day may not be as effective the next, or at some point in the future if we don’t alter our strategy a bit on occasion.
Much strength can be found in numbers.
With that said, let’s look at a few awesome ideas for you to try! Their fun and easy, and can be enjoyed whenever you have some spare time…
Board Games And Basketball
If the weather is nice, you might want to call up some of your buddies and get together for a pick-up basketball game at your local hoops. Many fitness centers have indoor courts as well.
This is a very effective way to forget a tough week at work and relax those tensions in your body and mind.
Any physical sport can do likewise. You may prefer to go golfing, play some doubles tennis, set up a volleyball net in your backyard, or even engage in a game as simple as kickball!
You don’t have to be an expert! The idea is to have fun with your friends or family and get some exercise. The games I mentioned above can be enjoyed by most age groups, as well as both male and female participants:)
No excuses, just get out there and do it!!!
If you don’t like the physical stuff, or the weather is not permitting…how about hosting a night of vintage board games?
They’re actually making a bit of a comeback right now, and are loads of fun.
You might be able to find some still lying around in the attic gathering dust, or at your local Walmart and other retailers.
Remember how much we enjoyed those times when we were younger, playing Monopoly, Life, or Clue? I’ve even discovered companies offering takeoffs of the classics like Dogopoly for pet lovers! LOL
You can additionally hold tournaments to make things more exciting…
Whatever you’re into, an evening like this will help everyone in your group relax and unwind, more so than sitting by yourself in front of the tv yet again.
Take A Hike
I often enjoy hiking in the wilderness by myself. But inviting friends along can certainly add to the experience.
Not only is it fun to spend some time with people you don’t always get to see during the week, it will help keep your mind off stressful issues in your life.
There is just something about nature and the woods that feels so good.
Depending on the season, you may want to apply bug spray and wear proper protection where necessary, and be sure to bring along water and other supplies for your group.
Other than that, it’s a cheap, effective way to have fun and relieve stress!
No matter where you live, you should be able to search online for local trails around your area.
Here in the United States, we have a site called TrailLink.com which allows people to locate trails based on city, state, or zip. Give it a try, you might be surprised at what you find.
Another good idea for you and your “gang” to participate in is a game of laser tag.
This can be played both indoor and out, where opponents fire infrared beams at each other attempting to hit infrared-sensitive targets worn by each person.
It’s similar to paintball, but less painful since no physical projectiles are used.
Believe me, you won’t have time to focus on work issues or other troubling thoughts once you get involved with this.
Fun for a wide range of ages, indeed!
Movie nights are always popular with couples and groups of friends, but how about adding a unique twist?
Host a “B” movie night at your house:)
When I was younger, I loved to watch a series on the USA network called “Up All Night.” Basically they would show these “B” rated movies, also called low-budget films, and the show’s host would make sarcastic comments throughout the feature. LOL
Think about how much fun this would be with your pals!
Some suggestions could be:
- Eight Legged Freaks
- Hercules In New York
- They live
- The Blob
…Truly classics!!! LOL

1)If you have a lake near you, rent a boat for the day!
Being out on the water is totally relaxing, and having your friends or family along can really create a nice atmosphere.
2)For those that enjoy an adult beverage now and again, how about visiting a winery with a group of like-minded kindred spirits?
Sample from the available selections, learn about the history of the establishment, and enjoy the company of your fellow connoisseurs.
Some wineries provide tasty snacks as well:)
3)Has a new restaurant opened up in your town that everone is talking about? Invite a few close friends along to try it out.
