Chill Out With Chamomile Natural Relief

Chamomile stress relief has become very popular over the past few decades.

When you need a break from the turmoil of life, sometimes it’s helpful to utilize the tools that nature provides for us.

Our forefathers understood this idea, and discovered some very strong healing properties in the plant life around them.

Long before modern medicine took over, there were only herbal remedies and other natural cures for whatever ailed civilization. One such example is Chamomile.

Though it has been used for centuries in a variety of beneficial ways, only recently has science begun to study its stress and anxiety relieving attributes.

The 2 most common forms this aromatic herb comes in are tea, and as an an essential oil.

Chamomile Stress ReliefPut to The Test

Back in the 1980’s, some scientific studies were done to determine the anxiety relieving benefits of chamomile.

They discovered that the natural chemicals within this special herb act like many typical drugs used for anxiety related issues.

Out of 61 subjects over the course of 8 weeks, the ones taking a chamomile extract reduced their suffering more notably than those taking a placebo.

This is certainly good news for anyone who has used over-the-counter remedies before, because it produced no similar side-effects often associated with the synthetic option.

Additionally, the overall feeling of well-being increased in the subjects taking chamomile.

Only The Essentials

Before I move forward, it might be helpful to define a widely used term in alternative healing.

An essential oil is “a natural oil typically obtained by distillation and having the characteristic fragrance of the plant or other source from which it is extracted.”

They can be used in aromatherapy to uplift and even heal certain disorders.

The oil taken from the chamomile flower has many positive attributes, such as:

  1. Delivers a complete sense of relaxation and calmness.
  2. Sore muscles and stiff joint pain can be relieved as well as some minor backaches.
  3. Ease an upset stomach or indigestion by relaxing the digestive system.
  4. Help you fall asleep faster if you are having trouble.
  5. A great tool for anyone suffering from nervousness or anxiety, because of its soothing nature.

Chamomile is also a common ingredient found in many skincare products. When used topically, it can help reduce redness and irritation on affected areas.

The active component within the oil is bisabolol.

Next time you are feeling stressed out, try purchasing a bottle of chamomile essential oil.

Place it in a lamp ring diffuser next to your favorite chair or a comfortable couch where you can be undisturbed for a little while.

Put some relaxing music on, close your eyes, and let your tension and anxiety just drift away…

A Cup Of Tea Please

Chamomile has been used to create teas for centuries, and is widely regarded as the most popular tea in the world.

It can easily be made by brewing the fresh or dried flowers of the plant. A cup a day is not only good for your body, but can also be an awesome way to uplift your soul.

Enjoy it first thing in the morning, while you breathe in the steam coming off of the tea!!!

This will definitely put you in the right frame of mind to face whatever challenges lie ahead for you out in the world…

To Sum Things Up

A good idea might be to talk to your doctor before you begin supplementing your diet with chamomile. You want to be sure there is no negative interaction with any other medications you are currently taking.

Some people become drowsy when using this herb, and excessive doses can potentially cause an allergic reaction or vomiting.

Since it is generally considered to be safe, you should have no troubles if you follow the above guidelines and apply basic common sense:)

So why not give chamomile stress relief a try?

The best cures in life are sometimes found right beneath our feet…literally!!!
